ABU DHABI / WAM
The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (Enec) has announced that it is sponsoring Al Dhafra Summer Festival, a three-week event organised by the Al Dhafra Club, running between July and August 2019.
The sponsorship and collaboration agreement was signed by Mohamed Al Hammadi, CEO of Enec, and Saleh Jazlan Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Al-Dhafra Club at Enec’s Headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Al Dhafra Summer Festival 2019 includes a number of cultural, sporting and social events and activities designed for the youth, to ensure an enjoyable and beneficial summer vacation for them.
Al Hammadi commented, “This agreement reflects our commitment to supporting youth and encouraging them to take part in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle. We are looking forward to working closely with Al Dhafra Club to support the next generation, in line with our wider corporate social responsibility program for supporting the community of the Al Dhafra region.â€
The pact comes in line with the Enec’s initiatives to raise awareness about the benefits of peaceful nuclear energy among the youth. The Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant is supporting the UAE’s efforts to tackle climate change, while also enhancing its energy mix, and diversifying its economy through the development of a local nuclear energy supply chain and the provision of high-value jobs.
