Emirati exhibition in Brussels to reflect UAE’s values and principles

BRUSSELS / WAM

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), will organise an exhibition, titled, “From Humanitarian Aid to Stability.”
The three-day exhibition, which aims to highlight the humanitarian and development aid provided by the UAE to many countries, in coordination with the Federal National Council (FNC), will be held in Brussels starting Wednesday, at the headquarters of the European Parliament.
The exhibition also aims to inform Europe about UAE’s efforts to reinforce security and stability in many countries, through providing humanitarian, relief and development aid to those suffering from wars, conflicts, natural disasters and crises, as part of a humanitarian response strategy that is in line with the UAE’s values and principles, without discrimination on the basis of religion and race.
The exhibition will include photos, videos and statistics related to Emirati humanitarian and development aid, and will showcase the relief aid, medical and food supplies, tents and educational support provided by the UAE, as well as relevant statistics, such as the number of beneficiaries from six continents and their countries.
The exhibition will showcase documentary photos of the ERC’s humanitarian and development efforts around the world, as well as the educational, health, social, emergency, water and electricity services it provides to many regions and countries, including Yemen, Somalia, Syria, Palestine and Afghanistan.
The exhibition will also include a detailed maquette of the Mrejeib AlFhood Camp that hosts Syrian refugees in Jordan and the services it provides, as well as a video of the visit of members of the European Parliament to the camp and their subsequent statements.

The exhibition is part of the official visit of an FNC delegation, led by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the FNC, to the European Parliament in Brussels from January 7-11. Dr. Al Qubaisi met with the President of the Parliament, as well as leaders and officials from the European Commission, during the visit.
The exhibition is the outcome of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between the FNC and the Emirati-European Friendship Group of the European Parliament, which was signed during the group’s visit to the UAE in October 2017.
