Emirates Securities Market up by 0.73 percent

The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.73% to close at 4563.35 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 5.35 billion attaining AED 740.23 billion. A total of 0.79 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 1.2 billion during the trading session of 13-04-2016 through 9971 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 65 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 29 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 26 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Emaar Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 147.42 million distributed over 23.26 Million Shares through 959 transactions. Dubai Investment came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 128.8 million distributed over 52.91 Million Shares through 679 transactions.
Abu Dhabi National Energy-TAQA shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.59 with 9.26% increase during the trading of 18.05 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 10.33 million. Whereas Mashreq Bank shares Increased by 6.76% to close at AED 79.00 during the trading of 49.57 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 3.77 million.
Al Mazaya Holdin» has achieved the lowest decline by -9.80% to close at AED 1.38 during the trading of 3424 Shares with a trade value of AED 4725.12. Followed by Abu Dhabi National Building – BILDC» which dropped by -7.27% to close at AED 0.51 during the trading of 1.73 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 0.87 million.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 6.625%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 65.42 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 62 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 43 companies. As of 13-04-2016, the Fin/Investment sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 18.0538% to settle at 4211.91compared to 3567.79 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 16.9% to settle at 83.2617 points. Followed by the Telecommunication sector index with an increase of 15.0% to settle at 3686.86 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 14.9% to settle at 5563.50 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 9.07% to settle at 2092.79 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 4.43% to settle at 1450.85 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with a decrease of -0.1% to settle at 3328.09 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -1.0% to settle at 2849.96 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -2.2% to settle at 1243.80 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.0% to settle at 932.566 points.
