The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.75% to close at 4622.61 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 5.7 billion attaining AED 749.85 billion. A total of 473.36 Million Shares were traded with a total value of AED 0.75 billion during the trading session of 28-04-2016 through 6558 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 66 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 20 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 30 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Eshraq Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 88.76 million distributed over 104.05 Million Shares through 573 transactions. Emaar Properties came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 86.07 million distributed over 12.77 Million Shares through 367 transactions.
Agility shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 12.80 with 14.80% increase during the trading of 9323 Shares with a trade value of AED 104.05 Thousand. Whereas Ooredoo Q.S.C. shares Increased by 9.09% to close at AED 90.00 during the trading of 12.21 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 1.1 million.
Abu Dhabi National Hotels has achieved the lowest decline by -10.00% to close at AED 2.70 during the trading of 20 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 54 thousand. Followed by Gulf Cement Co which dropped by -7.92% to close at AED 0.93 during the trading of 146.27 thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 136.49 thousand.Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 8.009%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 75.1 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 67 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 40 companies.
As of 28-04-2016, the Energy sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 21.8238% to settle at 86.7646compared to 71.2214 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Telecommunication sector index with an increase of 18.6% to settle at 3803.12 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 14.7% to settle at 5556.23 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 13.3% to settle at 4043.56 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 9.36% to settle at 1519.29 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 8.76% to settle at 2086.83 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.35% to settle at 3344.34 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with an increase of 0.21% to settle at 2886.86 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -3.0% to settle at 1234.46 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -3.1% to settle at 941.889 points.
