The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.61% to close at 4367.17 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 4.31 billion attaining AED 708.41 billion. A total of 2.16 billion shares were traded with a total value of AED 2.8 billion during the trading session of 02-03-2016 through 22489 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 65 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 18 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 33 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 0.96 billion distributed over 0.55 billion shares through 5876 transactions. Amlak Finance Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 296.86 million distributed over 173.54 million shares through 2832 transactions.
RAK Poultry & Feeding shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 2.25 with 13.07% increase during the trading of 500 shares with a trade value of AED 1125. Whereas Commercial Bank of Dubai shares Increased by 7.53% to close at AED 5.00 during the trading of 157.17 thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 0.77 million.
Amlak Finance Company has achieved the lowest decline by -9.77% to close at AED 1.57 during the trading of 173.54 million shares with a trade value of AED 296.86 mllion. Followed by AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company which dropped by -9.68% to close at AED 1.12 during the trading of 500 Shares with a trade value of AED 560. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 2.041%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 35.25 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 48 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 48 companies.
As of today the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 10.4922% to settle at 3540.52compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 4.82% to settle at 5074.58 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 2.03% to settle at 3640.40 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 0.96% to settle at 71.9056 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.41% to settle at 3346.53 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 0.23% to settle at 1923.08 points. Followed by the Services sector index with a decrease of -0.6% to settle at 1380.51 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -1.7% to settle at 954.952 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -2.7% to settle at 2802.41 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -5.1% to settle at 1207.53 points.
