Dubai Economy and the Dubai Quality Group (DQC) have signed an agreement to promote participation in community welfare activities sponsored by the two organisations.
The agreement seeks to promote innovation and partnerships, as well as consolidate all efforts towards implementing the directives of the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to observe 2017 as the ‘Year of Giving.’
The agreement was signed by Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director-General of Dubai Economy, and Fatma Buti Al Mheiri, Chairman of the DQG, in the presence of several senior executives and officials from both sides.
Commenting on the partnership, Ali Ibrahim said: “It reflects a commitment to excellence and desire to compete in doing good by working together to promote new ideas, proposals, innovations and participation for the benefit of the community.”
“Through this agreement, we seek to strengthen the partnership among government institutions to achieve the vision and strategy of Dubai, aimed at activating social responsibility and reinforcing the concept among individuals,” Ibrahim added.
“The agreement provides for mutual support and participation in events, conferences and training courses, which will contribute to improving performance and quality in community work. Together, Dubai Economy and Dubai Quality Group can take community welfare initiatives to a new level,” Ibrahim remarked.
Fatma Al Mheiri stated, “We are pleased to be partners with Dubai Economy, and we are keen to leverage the partnership to highlight our mission in consolidating, developing and pursuing quality, as well as business excellence in the UAE. The partnership is a reaffirmation of our commitment to promoting best practices, in line with the vision of the UAE leadership.”
Al Mherir pointed out that the partnership also brings added value, in terms of encouraging new concepts and ideas that would help organisations adopt the latest approaches and reinforce the UAE’s reputation as a leading innovator in the government. One of the main goals of DQG is to enhance social responsibility in the government and private sectors, supporting the vision of the UAE’s leadership, she stressed.
“Together, Dubai Quality Group and Dubai Economy look forward to further strengthening our collaboration towards implementing excellent standards and practices, and contribute towards achieving the UAE’s strategic vision of being the most innovative country by 2021. The Dubai Quality Group is strongly committed to ultimately establishing a strong foundation that would enable sustainable growth,” added Al Mheiri.
