The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC), announced that it helped 822 children of child abuse since its establishment in 2007 until the beginning of the year 2018. Accommodation services were provided for 492 children, while 330 children were provided with external care and rehabilitation services.
This came as a part of the special report issued by the Foundation on the most important achievements in the field of child care and protection on the occasion of the celebration of the UAE Children’s Day on March 15 each year within the National Strategy for Motherhood and Childhood aimed at raising community awareness on the rights of children and encouraging various entities to enhance their role in achieving development plans.
Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, said that celebrating the UAE Children’s Day is a culmination of the great efforts and attention paid by our wise leadership to the Emirati child in particular, and all children living in this country in general.
