Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed Liborio Stellino, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE, as part of diplomatic and consular visits to DEWA.
During the meeting, Al Tayer emphasised the importance of cooperation between DEWA and Italian energy companies, and working to develop them on a wider scale.
Al Tayer presented DEWA’s important development projects and strategic initiatives in Dubai, which supports the vision of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Stellino expressed his interest in participating in DEWA’s leading clean and renewable energy projects, and commended DEWA’s efforts in achieving sustainable development in Dubai.
DEWA’s projects support the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, launched by Sheikh Mohammed to transform Dubai into a global centre for clean energy and green economy, and generate 75% of Dubai’s total power output from clean energy by 2050.
