The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, DCT Abu Dhabi, organised the Zayed Loyalty March, to mark the ‘Year of Zayed’ and the centenary of the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The march – which is an embodiment of the love, loyalty and gratitude that the Emirati nation have for the Founding Father of the Union – started at Al Ain National Museum, passed through Al Ain Oasis, and ended at Al Ain Palace Museum.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaber Saleh Al Merri, Director of Historic Environment Department at DCT Abu Dhabi, said, “What we have seen here today is the sincerest way of expressing the love borne in the hearts of all UAE inhabitants for our late founding father.”
