ADM issues 210 offences against construction firms

Al Wathba Municipal Centre of the Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM), conducted an inspection campaign in Al Faya Industrial Area to monitor temporary construction sites, reduce debris, and urge owners to adhere to the public safety standards as per the Buildings Regulation Law No. 04 of 1983 and its executive regulations.
During the campaign, the municipal inspectors issued 210 offences against construction companies and contractors for failing to comply with the municipality’s terms and conditions.
The offences included unsafe materials loading, improper dumping of construction waste, failure to vacate the construction site within the specified period, among others. The municipality highlighted the importance of complying with the public safety conditions to safeguard the aesthetic view, protect passers-by and neighbouring buildings from falling waste, equipment and building materials, and enforce health and safety standards.
The municipality also called upon organisations maintaining construction sites and their employees to support its efforts to maintain public safety, provide the highest safety and security standards at work sites, and meet all requirements as mentioned in the laws and regulations in place.
