Abu Dhabi / WAM
The agricultural supply centres of the Abu Dhabi Farmers Services Centres (ADFSC) achieved a growth of 22.6 percent in their sales of agro-inputs, veterinary products and tools and equipment during the first half of 2018, compared to the same period of 2017. The ADFSC marketed 14.6 tonnes of fresh vegetables produced by farms in the first half of the year, an increase of seven percent as compared to the same period of 2017. The centres have a network of six branches around the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The centres aim to provide agricultural supplies at competitive prices and support farmers by providing consultations and raising their awareness about the ideal use of agricultural supplies, as well as informing them about the best types of fertilisers, the quantities required for each crop, and the appropriate agricultural techniques to increase productivity.
