Al Ghurair Centre has made an addition to its much awaited dining district opening, where world-renowned Dumpling House DinTaiFung will open its first flagship store in Dubai, in addition to Yakitate sidebar and the well-known Iraqi restaurant Bestoon Samad.
AGC’s new dining district will offer world class dining restaurants and cafes to its growing number of visitors, which has spiked over the past three years with an average of 29 percent increase recorded last year. A pioneer in the retail business, AGC’s new dining district also aims to cater for the constant demand of Dubai residents for the latest and greatest in both casual and ‘a-la-carte’ dining.
Hani Dabash, Vice President, AGC Mall, Residential and Commercial, said, “As Dubai rose to prominence year after year, Al Ghurair realized the need for a fully-fledged shopping and dining facility in downtown Dubai to accommodate the growing number of the city residents and tourists alike. Known for its innovative approach to retail, Al Ghurair embarked on expanding AGC, the first mall to open in the city and the region, to leverage on its heritage and prime location in the heart of downtown Dubai.”
The Dining District at AGC will be home to more than 29 select restaurants and cafes offering different cuisines from around the world, including both fine dining and fast food/casual outdoor eateries. It will be connected with the centre’s shopping area that boasts of over 300 brands.
“The aim behind this project was not only to encourage people to visit, shop and dine at AGC, but to support the regeneration of the Deira community and placing it back on the radar as the upcoming hotspot to be around in Dubai,” added Dabash.
