MOHAP launches patient smart portal

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), announced the launch of a patient smart portal ‘Al Malaf’ system during the Ministry’s participation at the 37th edition of GITEX 2017 which is underway at Dubai World Trade Centre.
According to Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Support Services at MoHAP, the new smart patient portal system is an essential new component in the Ministry’s efforts to develop a world class fully efficient and reliable health information system. He added that the new service also complements MoHAP’s implementation and compliance of international standards for health facilities under the Ministry, falling in line with the goals and objectives of the Smart Government initiative and National Agenda 2021 to develop a global health system.
Al Ketbi revealed the Ministry’s plans to develop smart e-services that provide a unique experience to its customers and are based on the three key drivers of the smart transformation index, which are: the availability and development of services on the portal, availability and development of the service through mobile devices via multiple channels, and the design of a smart electronic measurement platform. Al Ketbi also explained that the introduction of this new service is expected to reduce the rate of customers by 80 percent by 2018 while also drive up its star ratings.
