DUBAI / WAM
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced that it obtained three certificates from the International Standardisation Organisation (ISO) in business continuity, quality management systems and environmental management systems.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director-General, received the certificates during a special meeting with Ahmad AlKhatib, Director-General of the British Standards Institute in the
Middle East.
The TRA’s ISO certification in Business Continuity, ISO 22301:2013, confirms the readiness of the ICT sector to respond to all emergencies, crises and natural disasters that may occur, as well as the ability of the sector to ensure appropriate coverage for all customers in such circumstances.
TRA has also been able to obtain the new version of the Quality Management System, ISO 9001: 2015, which confirms the compatibility of all procedures, plans and strategic projects
implemented by TRA with the International standards in this field. It
obtained the certificate of the Environmental Management System, ISO 14001: 2015, on global standards
for the preservation of the environment in the buildings and facilities
of TRA as well as its internal environment, in addition to the best use
of available resources.
