Abdullah meets President of Harmony Foundation

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Abraham Mathai, President of the Harmony Foundation, which awards the
annual St. Mother Teresa Awards to prominent global citizens, at
the ministry’s headquarters on Thursday.
The two parties discussed relations of cooperation between the UAE and the Mumbai-based Harmony Foundation, along with the UAE’s role in promoting the principles of peace, equality and justice.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan commended the role played by the foundation in spreading the principles of goodness and peace across the world.
Abraham Mathai appreciated the UAE’s leading role in promoting the values of peace, equality and justice and its firm commitment to launching and adopting pioneering humanitarian initiatives for the benefit and good of all mankind.
In 2016, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed was conferred with the prestigious Mother Teresa Memorial International Award for Social Justice, in recognition of his contribution towards the promotion of justice and peaceful co-existence.
The award, inspired by the life and work of Mother Teresa, is presented annually to individuals or organisations who aim to promote peace, harmony and social justice.
