His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited on Thursday Design Days, at Madinat Jumeirah. The event is part of Art Dubai Week (Art Dubai).
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid toured the exhibition area where some 50 galleries representing 39 countries are showcasing their arts pieces.
He expressed his satisfaction at the exhibition, describing it as a ‘platform for world cultures’ that features human face of artists through their works. “The art in all its types, colours including poetry; music; sculpture; painting; architecture; rhetoric; photography and others, constitutes a valuable aesthetic, human and national value that deserves appreciation,” he said.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and Director- General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai Khalifa Saeed Suleiman.
