ADNOC Distribution inaugurated the new Al Wathba North service station, located on the Al Ain – Abu Dhabi road near Al Wathba Widening Hall in Abu Dhabi’s Bani Yas area. The opening comes as part of the company’s ongoing expansion strategy that aims to meet the growing demand for its high-quality products and services in various parts of the UAE.
Operating round-the-clock, the service station features three islands with nine dispensers offering E-Plus 91, Special 95, and Super 98 fuels. The station features a wide range of modern facilities and integrated services including oil change, an LPG cylinder depot and an ADNOC Oasis convenience store. In the future, it will also include an ATM machine and a fast food outlet.
Speaking on the occasion, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: “The opening of Al Wathba North service station reiterates our commitment in expanding our geographical footprint across the UAE in line with the country’s rapid economic growth. Furthermore, the move aligns with our ambitious plans to modernise our service station network catering to the specific requirements of each region.â€
In compliance with ADNOC Distribution’s quality standards, Al Wathba North service station is fitted out with the-state-of-the-art HSE equipment, creating a safer and healthier environment for employees and customers as well as residents of the surrounding areas. It also features a CCTV system, covering every square metre of the premises, and sensors monitoring the length of time vehicles spend in parking slots designated for customers. The facility has a direct electronic link to the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence General Directorate to minimise the response time in emergencies. Furthermore, the station uses a vapour recovery system that extracts fumes discharged from fuel tankers to protect the environment.
The latest addition takes the total number of ADNOC Distribution stations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to 4 Xpress stations and 170 service stations, including 94 service stations in Abu Dhabi city and its suburban areas, 35 stations in the Western Region and 41 stations in Al Ain.
