HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, on Monday morning chaired the council’s meeting held at its headquarters in the Emirates Towers to discuss a number of projects and topics on the agenda.
The meeting comes within the framework of the executive council’s continuous efforts to discuss plans and strategies which contribute towards implementing the vision of the wise leadership to achieve excellence in all sectors.
During the meeting, members reviewed the agenda and debates for the Executive Council and Sector Committees for 2016 based on five themes: economic development, security, justice, infrastructure, the environment and social development, as well as health and safety.
The members also examined Dubai’s health strategy for 2016-2021 where the Dubai Health Authority, DHA, presented its strategy including the provision of an integrated analysis of the current state of the health sector, identifying important priorities and development opportunities, performance indicators, targets, and action plans for the next phase.
The council discussed the greening and gardening policy which focusses on the emirate’s need for more green spaces and their importance in reducing the ratio of carbon dioxide.
