OPEC members to hold ‘informal’ Doha meeting

At least 11 OPEC members will meet in Doha on Friday for an “informal and consultative meeting,” Qatar’s energy minister Mohammed Saleh al-Sada has confirmed. Speaking on Thursday after the conclusion of a meeting of major gas exporting countries in Doha, Sada said OPEC members would convene in the Qatari capital on Friday morning. “We will have a meeting, it’s going to be an informal and consultative meeting,” he said. Sada said that 11 countries had agreed to attend, without naming them.
