Dental tourism in the Middle East and Africa is being dubbed the backbone of the region’s ballooning medical tourism industry, with the value of the dental consumables market projected to climb to USD 1.44 billion by the end of 2020. Much of this growth, according to experts, can be laid at the doorstep of technological advances in the area of dental implants and prosthetics. To better acquaint the region’s dental practitioners with some of the latest tools in the field, Dubai-based clinic Vilafortuny has invited international expert Dr. Mauro Fradeani to conduct a lecture and live demonstration at its in-house training centre over December 8-9.
“The key elements in achieving a functional and long-lasting aesthetic outcome in dental prosthetics spans understanding the patient’s needs, devising an efficient treatment plan, facilitating collaboration between practitioners and selecting the right restorative materials. It is important to address each of these myriad factors to achieve the best possible results, and scale up patient satisfaction,†explains Dr. Fradeani.
Dr. Fradeani’s presentation will, therefore, include constructing an ideal treatment plan, supplemented by the Guided Esthetic Treatment app, or the GET app, a revolutionary new tool engineered to guide dental practitioners in constructing the best possible prosthetic treatment plan.
The presentation will also illustrate how to select and optimise the use of metal-free ceramic materials, even in the case of full-mouth rehabilitation, and the use of minimally invasive prosthetic procedure (MIPP) in highly compromised clinical situations.
“Vilafortuny’s training centre was built to better equip medical and dental practitioners operating within the Middle East to meet the region’s growing needs. Our lectures, workshops and courses are designed to keep professionals up-to-date with new developments in their respective fields. The GET app can significantly ease the formulation of a treatment plan, simplify collaboration and boost overall functional and aesthetic outcome. We have invited Dr. Fradeani to share his expertise with the region’s practitioners on how this tool can further the field of dental prosthetics,†comments Dr. Kathrin Trelles, founder of Vilafortuny.
Celebrated doctors from across Europe and America are continuously being booked by the Dubai-based clinic to conduct courses at the DHA-accredited training centre, and provide hands-on training to scale up the region’s knowledge and understanding.
