Dubai Chamber, Belgium eye stronger trade ties

Dubai’s non-oil trade with Belgium nearly doubled over the past six years to reach US$8.5 billion in 2015, accounting for the majority of the country’s non-oil trade with the UAE, it was revealed in a business meeting organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Antwerpen-Waasland, Belgium.
A total of 60 delegates attended the meeting, aimed at building stronger trade ties with Belgium. As of now, there are 237 Belgian companies among the members of Dubai Chamber. Speaking on the occasion, Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of DCCI, said that Dubai and Belgium are very keen to take their bilateral trade ties to a higher level as is evident from the frequent meetings between the two sides.
