UNIKAI signs AED14.4mn agreement with Etihad

UNIKAI Foods PJSC, one of the largest dairy food companies in the Arabian Peninsula, entered into an exclusive three-year partnership with Etihad Airways. Valued at AED14.4 million, the agreement makes UNIKAI the sole supplier of long-life juices across the airline’s premier guest lounges and all flight classes.
Speaking on the synergy, Neeraj Vohra, CEO, UNIKAI Foods P.J.S.C said: “Our partnership agreement with Etihad Airways marks a significant milestone for UNIKAI. The airline is synonymous with a high standard of service and to be selected as its preferred supplier of long-life juices is a testimony to the quality and range of UNIKAI’s product offering. We are confident that our brands – amongst the most loved household names in the UAE – will gain global recognition with this unique collaboration.”
UNIKAI has a strong heritage spanning more than four decades and is on the cusp of a strategic rebranding across its key categories, which will see the company embark on a new phase of growth. Its range of wholesome products has been popular with Emirati consumers as well as the UAE’s multicultural visitors and resident population.
Etihad Airways, which began operations in 2003 from its base in Abu Dhabi, has won several international accolades for being one of the leading carriers in the region. In 2011, the airline set an industry benchmark by introducing an in-flight chef to serve customised meals created onboard – reflecting its continued commitment to innovation and excellence.
Founded in 1977, Unikai Foods PJSC is a publicly listed company on the DFM stock market. It is one of the oldest players in the regional FMCG market for over 38 years and boasts a diversified product portfolio offering juices, dairy, ice cream, and foods.
