Dubai-based Emirates Islamic Bank donated AED300,000 to the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services to support services for people with disability across the UAE.
The donation was announced by the bank officials during a tour to the City to learn about its activities and services.
General Manager of Operational Quality and Processes at the Emirates Islamic Bank Awatif Al Harmoudi toured the Al Amal Kindergarten and School for the Deaf, Al Wafa School for Capacity Development as well as the department of physical and occupational therapy treatment.
She was briefed by Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafei, Deputy Director-General of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.
The Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services is a local non-profit organisation founded in 1979.
Emirates Islamic Bank, launched in 2004, has donated more than AED30 million to charity since the beginning of 2016.
