Abu Dhabi’s e-Govt pavilion opens

Abu Dhabi e-Government, through the participation of 21 government entities, officially opened its pavilion at GITEX Technology Week 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on Monday.
HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed Al Maktoum visited the Abu Dhabi pavilion on its opening day. In addition, Sheikha Azza bint Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charity Foundation visited the Abu Dhabi pavilion at GITEX.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the Abu Dhabi e-Government’s fifth consecutive participation at GITEX coincides with its tenth anniversary, as it celebrates a decade of various stages of digital growth and prosperity.
The e-Government is currently highlighting the notable year-on-year growth of its digital solutions as it showcases its latest innovations, systems, apps and websites that assist in solidifying Abu Dhabi’s status as a regional hub for business and digital transformation investment, while strengthening cooperation and integration between Government entities in the UAE’s capital.
Commenting on the opening, HE Rashid Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General at ADSIC said, “We are very proud of the Abi Dhabi e-Government’s participation at GITEX for the fifth consecutive year, as we consider our presence in this prestigious international event a direct reflection of all our efforts and achievements, that have aimed at enriching the local information technology and communications sector.”
H.E Butti Al Qubaisi, Director General of SCAD commended the Centre’s regular participation in this international event with other entities under Abu Dhabi’s e-Government Stand as an opportunity to educate users and the general public about the Centre’s transformation to digital methods and services in its endeavor to achieve its ambitious vision for “Leadership and Innovation” by catering to the needs of various categories of data users, in line with the strategic goals of the Abu Dhabi Plan.
Captain Mohamed Juma Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, commented: “Digital transformation is at the top of our agenda. It comes in line with the vision of our wise leadership that aims to position Abu Dhabi as a centre of excellence in trade that has all the foundations to build a sustainable and diversified economy. Our participation at GITEX to highlight our latest digital services with the wider ports community is an extension to our continuous efforts of offering our customers and stakeholders smart solutions that provide easy
access to information and
enhanced efficiency.”
