Abu Dhabi e-Government, through the participation of 21 government entities, is preparing to showcase its array of digital achievements and innovations at the GITEX Technology Week 2016 that will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), from October 16-20.
Abu Dhabi e-Government’s fifth consecutive participation at GITEX is organised by Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) and coincides with the tenth anniversary of the launch of the Abu Dhabi e-Government.
The e-Government will highlight its year-on-year growth and continuous accomplishments over the past decade. The participating entities will display a diverse array of digital solutions, including e-platforms, applications, websites and systems providing distinguished services for all segments of the Abu Dhabi community, through effective and sustainable digital transformation.
“ADSIC has worked with its strategic partners since 2006 to strengthen the ICT infrastructure and raise the readiness level for the digital transformation of services provided in Abu Dhabi. We are especially proud to participate in this year’s GITEX Technology Week that coincides with Abu Dhabi e-Government’s tenth anniversary milestone,†said HE Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director
General of ADSIC.
“Guided by our joint efforts and vision to establish a smart government based on innovation to serve Abu Dhabi’s entire community, we have enhanced the emirate’s status as a modern and sophisticated destination and hub – on both regional and international levels – for digital growth, technology investment and smart living. These have developed and set the foundations and fundamentals required to build a knowledge-based economy to meet the aspirations of our wise leadership and support the strategic objectives of the Abu Dhabi Plan,†H.E added.
Al Mansoori continued: “GITEX visitors will have the opportunity to witness how electronically evolved we are as an integrated entity in legislation, planning and implementation. This has also led to the diversification of our digital channels and in our methods of communication with end-users, in addition to our evaluation and studying of future initiatives that will serve the development interests and objectives of the UAE capital on the long term. The e-Government’s pavilion will display its most important milestones in the last decade in an interactive and unique way designed to enrich our visitors’ experience.â€
In preparation for the event, ADSIC organised an interactive workshop late last month involving 21 of its strategic partners from Abu Dhabi’s government. The workshop tackled the planning, logistics, marketing and media campaign for the e-Government’s participation at GITEX 2016, and focused on ensuring effective coordination in all areas.
Equipped with state-of-the-art software, interactive areas and other modern technologies, the 1620-square meter pavilion of Abu Dhabi’s e-Government at GITEX 2016 is expected to attract a wide range of local, regional and international delegations and visitors who are keen on exploring Abu Dhabi’s innovative and diverse digital services.
