ABU DHABI/GULF TIME
In a move reflecting Abu Dhabi’s growing appeal as a global hub for high-value investments, Abu Dhabi National Investment and Development P.J.S.C. (ADID) welcomed Mr. Wolfgang Egger, founder of the European company PATRIZIA, one of the world’s leading institutions in real-asset investment management, with approximately USD 65 billion in assets under management. The high-level strategic meeting explored opportunities for cooperation and the development of joint investment projects across real estate, agriculture, industry, food security and renewable energy. The meeting coincided with the signing of a strategic partnership between the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre and PATRIZIA, aimed at strengthening cooperation in investment and infrastructure in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, reflecting PATRIZIA’s extensive global expertise in the asset sector.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Rashid Ali Al Omaira, Chairman of ADID. The two sides discussed prospects for establishing strategic partnerships that leverage PATRIZIA’s global investment expertise and the growing economic and investment opportunities in the UAE, paving the way for high-value projects capable of generating added economic value and sustainable returns.
The meeting also featured a presentation of ADID’s ambitious investment vision, which aims to establish an integrated investment and operating platform encompassing real estate and industrial development, smart agriculture, food industries, advanced technologies and renewable energy, through an innovative economic model that connects investment, production, innovation and sustainability.
ADID places particular emphasis on developing an integrated food security ecosystem built on the adoption of modern agricultural technologies, strengthening local production, developing food value chains and linking them with research and development and clean energy solutions. This approach opens up new avenues for long-term investment and supports the strategic priorities of the UAE.
The discussions addressed opportunities to benefit from PATRIZIA’s international expertise in managing and developing real assets, while exploring cooperation models that combine the two parties’ investment capabilities and technical and operational expertise, helping turn available opportunities into economic projects with tangible impact.
This direction is particularly significant in light of Abu Dhabi’s growing position as a preferred destination for global capital, supported by advanced infrastructure, a competitive regulatory and investment environment, and a long-term economic vision that places diversification and sustainability at the forefront of its priorities.
H.E. Rashid Ali Al Omaira, Chairman of ADID, said: “Bringing together PATRIZIA’s global investment expertise and the exceptional capabilities and opportunities offered by Abu Dhabi opens broad horizons for building high-value partnerships that go beyond the traditional concept of investment, towards developing integrated projects that create sustainable economic value and enhance returns for our shareholders and partners.”
He added: “We believe the next phase holds significant investment opportunities in sectors related to food security, advanced agriculture, industry and clean energy. We look forward to this meeting marking the beginning of fruitful cooperation that translates shared visions into tangible investment opportunities and projects.”
This meeting forms part of the strategic transformation being led by ADID to expand and diversify its investment activities, strengthen its presence in priority economic sectors, and attract international partners with the expertise and capabilities needed to develop major projects with sustainable economic viability.
The meeting also reflects ADID’s direction towards moving beyond investment in traditional assets to building integrated economic ecosystems that bring together real estate assets, industrial and agricultural production, technology and sustainability, enhancing its ability to seize investment opportunities locally, regionally and internationally.
As ADID engages with global investment institutions of PATRIZIA’s scale, attention turns to the potential opportunities for cooperation and future projects that may emerge from these discussions, while Abu Dhabi continues to consolidate its position as a global hub bringing together capital, expertise and promising investment opportunities.
