DCA offers iftar in Spain to underprivileged children

The Dubai Charity Association (DCA), under the supervision of the UAE Consulate-General in Lisbon, implemented an iftar project for the underprivileged and Muslims with Special Needs in Catalonia region on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The project is the largest of its kind in Catalonia. The UAE Consulate-General in Barcelona has distributed 62 tonnes of basic food staff to about 5,000 Muslim families. It has allocated part of the assistance to hold iftar meals for the needy people.
Ahmed Mesmar, Secretary-General of the Dubai Charity Association, hailed the efforts and co-operation of Salem Rashid Al Owais, UAE Consul-General in Barcelona and staff which contributed to the success of the programme in Catalonia.
