Dubai Chamber wraps up networking event in Moscow

As part of its efforts to explore promising areas of cooperation between Dubai and the Russian Federation, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with the UAE Embassy in Russia and with the presence of the Russian Business Council, operating under the umbrella of the Chamber, recently concluded a networking event in the Russian capital, Moscow.
During the meeting which was attended by representatives from Russia’s private sector, Dubai Chamber examined various areas of opportunities for joint cooperation between the business communities of Dubai and Russia, and how the two sides can benefit by exploring each other’s lucrative sectors through close economic ties.
Stressing the importance of the meeting in building a stronger bilateral relationship between the private sectors of Dubai and Russia, Omar Khan, Director, International Offices, Dubai Chamber, said that today, Russia offers excellent investment opportunities in the areas of agriculture, food, energy, innovation and technology for UAE-based companies.
Khan further stressed that tourism is a very fruitful area of cooperation for both sides, as Dubai offers an ideal leisure and business destination for Russian businesses who can use the emirate as a springboard to venture into the regional markets as well as accessing the African continent.
He also said that Russia can also attract more tourists from the UAE due to its delightful weather and a wide variety of cultural activities, easy accessibility through integrated air routes linking Dubai and a number of Russian cities.
The International Offices Director at Dubai Chamber also expressed the Chamber’s desire to organise a variety of events in the most important target markets as part of its efforts to promote Dubai as an attractive business destination by highlighting the emirate’s lucrative investment environment to overseas investors while also supporting UAE investments to these promising markets of the world.
Khan lauded the support and cooperation of the UAE Embassy in Moscow in organising such networking events, stating that the embassy’s efforts are behind the success of the meeting whose objective is to strengthen economic ties between the business communities of the UAE and Russia.
Dubai Chamber’s International Office in Baku serves as a gateway for UAE investments in the CIS markets as well as opening the doors for CIS companies to enter the Dubai market while highlighting the competitive advantages of making the emirate the headquarters for their business’s expansion into the region.
