UAE Armed Forces a source of pride: Ajman Ruler

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, said that 6th May is a historic milestone and a glorious national occasion celebrated by the UAE’s leadership and people, as it is the anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces under one central command and one flag
This was done by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Founding Sheikhs and Leaders of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi added.
In his speech on the occasion of the 48th Armed Forces Unification Day, Sheikh Humaid sent his warmest congratulations and best wishes and his deepest feelings of love and pride to President and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the Emirati people.
“Today, we stand before the achievements written by our glorious history. These features have been meticulously drawn by Emiratis and the valiant soldiers of our nation. They have had the honour of belonging to our Armed Forces, which now serve as a wellspring of pride and a beacon of strength, a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. We owe this distinction to Allah Almighty, as well as to the steadfast support provided by the UAE’s visionary founders since the birth of our union. The leaders of our nation have continued this legacy, ensuring that our national military stands tall and proud, embracing its storied past, navigating the present, and illuminating a bright future,” Sheikh Humaid said.
“Since their unification, our Armed Forces have forged men and heroes as a wellspring of strength and stability, and a symbol of sacrifice and redemption. The capabilities, qualifications, and efficiency of their soldiers have been resoundingly proven across all fields and missions. Whether aiding our brothers and maintaining peace and security locally, regionally, or internationally, or assisting those afflicted in disaster and conflict zones worldwide, they have exemplified the honourable image of Emiratis and Arabs. This legacy is one that everyone has witnessed, and the leaders and people of the UAE embrace it with immense pride,” H.H. added.
“The Armed Forces have shown the most wonderful values of humanity and sacrifice by answering the call of the needy and the afflicted in all corners of the Earth, by delivering aid by land, sea, and air to the brothers of religion and Arabism. They have spared no efforts to reach the distressed and besieged through all means and possibilities until the name of the UAE became a beacon of light, a towering symbol of humanity, and an example to be followed of preserving human dignity and responding to the call of the needy,” he further added.
On the historic occasion, Sheikh Humaid recalled the journey of the UAE’s heroes and martyrs, whose names and heroism have been immortalised by history in the nation’s memory and in the conscience of its sons and daughters.
“Our martyrs are our sons who have shown the highest levels of heroism in their sacrifice for the nation and its security. On this occasion, we pray for them and ask Allah Almighty to grant them the highest ranks in Paradise,” Sheikh Humaid said in conclusion.
