Trends, Japanese delegation discuss research cooperation

Trends Research and Advisory has hosted a discussion that brought together researchers and officials from Trends and a Japanese delegation consisting of Dr Imai Kohei, Non-Resident Researcher at the Institute of Developing Economies of the Japan External Trade Organisation, and Dr Shingo Hamanaka, Professor at the Department of Law, Ryukoku University. The two sides exchanged briefings on their research interests. Trends researchers explained the centre’s distinguished experience in the field of scientific research and strategic studies, with a focus on the methodology of analysing future developments. The two parties discussed the prospects for mutual research cooperation, and possible ways of cooperation through exchange of research, holding of scientific events and other issues that serve their goals and strategy. Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, stressed the significance of integrating the roles of
academic and research institutions in spreading knowledge. He indicated Trends’ keenness to enhance cooperation with academic and research institutions at the local level and beyond. He also stressed that Trends believes that the integration of roles between academic and research institutions is a necessary step to achieve sustainable development in all fields. Dr Imai Kohei expressed his admiration for Trends’ research experience, which adopts an innovative methodology in analysing future developments. He explained that cooperation with Trends Research and Advisory shall bring added value to Japanese researchers. Dr Shingo Hamanaka stressed the significance of this cooperation in enhancing the role of scientific research, bridging the gap
between cultures and promoting the values of constructive dialogue. The two parties concluded by stressing the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination to enhance knowledge and experiences in various relevant fields
