The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.32% to close at 4483.18 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 2.29 billion attaining AED 727.23 billion. A total of 235.9 Million Shares were traded with a total value of AED 320.01 million during the trading session of 08-05-2016 through 4052 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 59 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 27 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 23 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Emaar Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 51.28 million distributed over 8.18 Million Shares through 339 transactions. Arabtec Holding Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 36.79 million distributed over 24.94 Million Shares through 466 transactions.
Aman Insurance shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.62 with 6.96% increase during the trading of 85.5 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 50.56 thousand. Whereas Invest Bank shares Increased by 6.67% to close at AED 2.24 during the trading of 55.05 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 111.11 thousand.
International Fish Farming Company has achieved the lowest decline by -10.00% to close at AED 6.93 during the trading of 10202 Shares with a trade value of AED 71.4 thousand. Followed by RAK Properties which dropped by -3.70% to close at AED 0.52 during the trading of 1.76 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 0.93 million. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 4.751%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 77.77 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 56 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 50 companies.
As of 08-05-2015, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 18.2811% to settle at 3790.10compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 9.83% to settle at 78.2270 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 8.90% to settle at 5271.75 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 8.75% to settle at 1510.84 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 6.19% to settle at 2037.48 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 1.38% to settle at 3617.35 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.05% to settle at 3334.66 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -3.0% to settle at 2792.59 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.4% to settle at 1216.30 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -5.0% to settle at 922.670 points.
