Dr Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and Marasi News signed a protocol for media collaboration that aims at highlighting the great economic capabilities infatuated by the Arab maritime sector. The agreement also reinforces the strategic role of the Arab Academy as one of the most important educational organizations that provides the maritime sector with trained and qualified cadres in
accordance with the highest scientific and practical standards.
The agreement comes with a slogan “Towards an integrated Arab maritime sector focusing on innovation and excellenceâ€, in order to benefit from the great potentials available in the Arab region, especially its strategic geographical location and the advanced maritime infrastructure that is capable of supporting the economics in the Arab region.
The agreement was signed at the headquarter of the Academy in Alexandria by Dr Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and Mrs Effat Fawzy Mostafa, the PR & Communication Manager at Tactics Marketing Management and the Managing Editor of Marasi News.
Commenting on this occasion, Dr Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, stated that: “The Arab Maritime Sector has always been in need for a specialized and professional media partner that will transfer to the world the great success and achievements of the Arab countries in the maritime field. This has encouraged us to sign a protocol agreement with Marasi News media platform after the great success that they have achieved with their professional media coverage, as well as the huge presence of their team amongst officials and decision makers in the maritime region.â€
On another note, Mohammed Bin Dakhin Al Matroushi, the Editor in Chief in Marasi News commented: “The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport is one of the largest educational institutions in the Arab region. We consider signing this agreement an appreciation from the academy to the efforts of our team in the past four years who enthusiastically served the Arab maritime sector.â€

The agreement also aims at enhancing the media presence of the leaders and partners of the academy in the maritime events and conferences in the region, especially in the UAE. In addition to promoting and marketing the educational and consulting services in the Gulf region and Jordan.
From her side, Mrs. Effat Fawzi Mustafa, the PR & Communication Manager at Tactics Marketing Management and the Managing Editor in Marasi News, emphasized the opportunities of this agreement saying: “Signing this agreement is a turning point for Marasi News platform, it’s another achievement besides being awarded as the Best Maritime Media 2016 from Shiptek International Maritime Awards. The academy will also contribute in enhancing the exposure of Marasi News Magazine to reach new segments, in addition to enriching the content with new topics anticipated by the maritime experts working in the academy.
