His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received at Al Bahr Palace on Monday the participants at the conference of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies, who were accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Matar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic
Affairs and Awqaf.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the guests participating in the forum and wished them success in promoting awareness about Islam’s tolerant teachings based on peace, co-operation and amity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the important role played by the Forum in highlighting the true image of Islam. He also referred to the vital role played by the scholars in eliminating misconceptions about Islam and exposing the subversive agenda of those who use extremism and violence as a means for their malicious ends to distort the image of Islam and its tolerant approach.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed prayed to Allah Almighty to spread security, peace and tolerance in the region and in the whole world.
The members of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies lauded the support given by the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the Forum in its mandate to promote values of good and peaceful co-existence all over the world.
In attendance were Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in Al Ain; His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs (ZHO); Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, Sheikhs and senior officials.
