Dulsco, a regional leader in people and environmental solutions, has been named the 2017 ‘Supplier of the year’ at this year’s edition of the MEED awards.
The awards have become the leading stamp of quality and achievement for anyone operating in the GCC projects sector, not only recognising the construction element of project delivery but also taking into consideration the wider contribution of these projects to both society and the wider environment.
A highlight-filled 2017 for Dulsco was bookended by the company’s announcement in March that it has commenced construction work for its new 500,000 square feet recycling facility at Dubai Industrial Park. Designed as a green building, the complete integrated waste management facility will ensure the efficient use of energy, water and other resources, and prioritises the reduction of waste and harm to the environment.
“There is a growing demand for the sorts of services we offer, and we’re committed to continuing to manage the country’s – as well as the wider region’s – challenges in a sustainable manner. We’re delighted with this recognition, which is something that we consider a testament to our
efforts in meeting these targets,” said Chief Commercial
Officer Robert Kirk, following the ceremony.
“It is incredibly important to MEED to recognize and celebrate the very best in the region,” says MEED editorial director Richard Thompson. “MEED’s objective is to help the region realize its ambitions by bringing together the best in business and government in the region. The MEED Awards aims to shine a bright spotlight on the very best businesses in the region. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners.”
The winners of the MEED Awards were honored at a ceremony at the Conrad, Dubai. The 2017 edition of the awards were the largest yet, with a 45 percent increase in entries compared to its predecessor.
