ZonesCorp has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, whereby the TRA, acting through the UAE Computer Emergency Response Team, aeCERT, will provide a number of advisory services to ZonesCorp relating to cybersecurity. The MoU implies that ZonesCorp has a highly robust system in place to identify and effectively protect against and deal with online security threats.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of the TRA, said, “Given the ultra-reliance on telecommunications and information technology in today’s business environment, there is an ever present cyber security risk. The TRA and aeCERT adopt the latest and most sophisticated methods to ward off these risks or minimise them in order to ensure a healthy environment throughout the country.
