The Zayed Giving Caravans have achieved their humanitarian missions in Egyptian villages, after the treatment of 2,000 children and elderly patients in Belbeis, Sharqiya Governorate, with the help of a mobile hospital equipped with advanced medical equipment, according to the best international standards.
The mobile hospital’s volunteer medical team has provided free diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive services to vulnerable people, while supervised by a group of senior volunteer surgeons, to create an excellent model of joint humanitarian work, as part of an annual volunteer UAE-Egyptian programme to reach thousands of children and elderly patients in Egyptian villages.
The campaign was overseen by an Emirati-Egyptian medical volunteer team of humanitarian doctors as a joint initiative by the Zayed Giving Initiative, the Saudi-German Hospital, Dar Al Ber Organisation, Sharjah Charity House and the Emirates Volunteer Centre, in collaboration with the Arab Foundation for Humanitarian Action and in co-ordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Health, Sharqiya Governorate and the Belbeis Youth Centre, to create an
excellent example of volunteer and humanitarian work
partnership.
