Shaimaa Al Mansoori, Director of Education and Training at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR), stressed that women account for 44 percent of the authority’s workforce and 43 percent of managerial positions.
In her statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Mansoori said that the authority is constantly working to advance the skills of national cadres and supporting women’s empowerment, noting that the UAE is a leading country in terms of supporting women and providing them with a conducive environment.
Developing the skills of women is the key to supporting the long-term sustainability of the nuclear sector, and, therefore, FANR has prioritised it, by launching several initiatives and programmes aimed at empowering women in the workplace, she explained. Emirati talent working for FANR represent more than 72 percent of its 250 employees, she further added, noting that the authority will continue to empower national cadres through launching development programmes, which are in line with the highest standards and based on the Professional Competency Programme.
The programme outlines the knowledge and skills required to complete all assigned tasks and measure the capabilities of all employees across all sectors, Al Mansoori said in conclusion.
