‘Woman and Child Protection Foundation’ launched in Ajman

The Woman and Child Protection Foundation, headed by Sheikha Azza bint Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, was launched in time for International Women’s Day, with the support and under the directives of HH Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman. The foundation conducts its work in both, Ajman and the entire country, to strengthen the role and stature of women and children, and to guarantee their protection and care in cases of violence, mistreatment and abuse.
Sheikha Azza bint Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said during the occasion, in an exclusive statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the foundation was declared and created to empower women and children in Ajman, according to a decree from H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.
She clarified that the launch of the foundation came with the blessing and support of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, with his encouragement for its direction, as well as the support and encouragement of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, who spared no effort in supporting the rise of the stature and role of women and children in all fields.
Sheikha Azza assured that yesterday’s International Women’s Day celebration is not only an occasion to celebrate or immortalise the memory, or to glorify the woman’s role, but is a chance to strengthen and empower the role of the woman and to guarantee her effective participation alongside men, in building and planning the future of the country and its future generations, as believed by the leadership.
She added that the Woman and Child Protection Foundation, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, expressed its complete appreciation for the Emirati woman, who was able to handle her roles and responsibilities as drawn out by the Founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Their Highnesses the Members of the Supreme Council and the Rulers of the emirates, who have provided complete support and opportunities for the Emirati woman to become a partner and an essential factor in building the country and its society.
