A massive turnout of leading international energy companies is expected at the 18th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2016), from 4th to 6th October, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
WETEX 2016 is being organised as part of the Green Week by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in conjunction with the third World Green Economy Summit (WGES), and the inaugural of the first Dubai Solar Show, which will showcase the most recent innovations in solar energy sector, and its major projects regionally and globally.
“The international participation at WETEX 2016 reflects the global positioning of Dubai thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that has placed Dubai on the global map as a leading financial, business, tourism, sustainability and green economy hub,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, President and Founder of WETEX.
“DEWA has sent delegates to many countries to promote the exhibition and its main objectives, and maximise participation of commercial delegations,” he added.
“Through WETEX, we aim to provide the exhibitors with a unique platform to build positive and fruitful partnerships between public and private sectors. This will reinforce the show’s role as a global platform for exchanging views and experiences and as a springboard to launch mega-projects, which would accelerate investments in the energy sector and speed up the transformation into a sustainable green economy,” Al Tayer said in conclusion.
The exhibition is being organised by DEWA, under the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.
