Dubai / WAM
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has showcased, during its participation in the 42nd edition of Gitex Technology Week, the advanced tech solutions and systems and smart applications that it is currently using across work and news systems.
WAM also spotlighted its development plans for news-related digital services, which are part of its efforts to contribute to the UAE’s digital transformation drive and boost its media reach globally.
Visitors to Gitex learnt about WAM’s digital services through a live demonstration of the “WAM Live” system, which utilises interactive digital display screens to provide the agency’s audiences with access to the latest and most important local, regional and global news and developments, including photos and videos of all events, in line with its drive to deliver
integrated news services.
WAM is working with its partners to expand the deployment of its WAM Live display screens to include key locations, such as airports, shopping centres, transport stations and customer happiness
centres.
Furthermore, WAM’s participation featured insights on the Global Media Congress, which will be held from 15th to 17th November as part of a partnership between the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC Group) and WAM, as well as on the agency’s news services, which are offered in 19 languages.
The Global Media Congress is set to explore the latest developments and future prospects of the media sector in the region and the world.
