Mothers and their little ones made the most of an exciting programme of water-based activities that started at Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC). Titled ‘Fun, Splashy Summer,’ the programme features an array of entertaining shows and aquatic activities that takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday up until July 30.
Fun, Splashy Summer saw a large turnout of ladies and children who arrived to enjoy the variety of water games and competitions being held at the SLC beach. The programme has been devised to allow mothers and their children to enjoy quality leisure time during the school break, with all the activities taking place in a secure yet fun-packed environment.
The first weekend of “Fun, Splashy Summer” hosted thrilling activities for children, with the water games on offer ensuring happiness and healthy exercise equally. Mothers enjoyed the outdoor Zumba dance party, which was held under the supervision of expert female trainers.
Tickets cost AED 250 for adults and AED 100 for children, with ticket purchasers also enjoying a 20% on-the-day discount at SLC’s Lafeef restaurant. Participants keen to partake in the programme should register directly at SLC. Established in 1982, SLC — a subsidiary of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs — is dedicated to providing high quality leisure and educational activities for women and children. The facility provides its members with a relaxing and nurturing place where they can learn, enjoy sports and indulge in their favourite pastimes.
