Abu Dhabi / WAM

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that as of Monday, May 1, entry visas will be granted to Indians holding standard passports with United States, US, visas or are US green card holders, upon their arrival at UAE ports.
Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry, explained that these new procedures are based on a decision by the Council of Ministers to allow holders of standard passports issued by the Republic of India to obtain an entry visa upon arrival at UAE ports for AED100, with the possibility of staying for a period up to 14 days providing that the validity of their passport and their US visa or green card is not less than six months. The same period of stay can be extended once for a similar period with the same payment.
He stressed that this decision reflects the desire of the UAE Government to strengthen its co-operation with the Government of India, which will positively affect the development of bilateral relations between both countries and enhance their co-operation in the tourism, economic and investment sectors. The UAE is considered an attractive destination in the region for visitors and business owners from around the world, he added.
