Under the patronage of UAE President, Mansour bin Zayed opens 40th edition of ADIPEC

Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, on Monday opened the 40th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), which runs until November 7, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
The event was attended by HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King of Bahrain for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
During the opening ceremony, the national anthem was played, and a video about ADIPEC 2024 was shown.
Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, delivered the keynote speech. A discussion session was also held with the participation of a number of energy ministers from around the world.
Hosted by ADNOC Group, ADIPEC is the world’s largest energy event, attracting more than 200,000 visitors, including leading innovators and experts from around the world. The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy.’
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the UAE’s commitment to supporting technological innovation as a key driver in various sectors, particularly energy. “This involves establishing strategic partnerships and enhancing cooperation with leading global entities to integrate artificial intelligence solutions into the energy sector and advance the global transition to clean energy.”
This year, ADIPEC introduces several new features, including the Digitalisation and Technology Conference, which examines how next-generation technologies, such as artificial intelligence, can enhance efficiency and reduce emissions, along with new exhibitions by leading companies in advanced technologies and artificial intelligence.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan, Minister of State, Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office.
Also in attendance were Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Sarah Al Musallam, Minister of State for Early Education, Mansour Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Mariam bint Mohammed Al Muhairi, Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, Humaid bin Saeed Al Neyadi, Director of the Office of the Presidential Court, Sultan Dhahi Hemeiri, Advisor at the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs, and a number of officials.
ADIPEC’s 16-hall exhibition features more than 2,200 exhibitors, including 54 national and international oil companies, national energy companies, international energy companies, and 30 country pavilions across four specialised areas: the AI Zone, Decarbonisation Zone, Digitalisation Zone, and Maritime & Logistics Zone.
The event brings together 54 leading national and international oil companies, engineering firms, 30 national pavilions, and four specialised industrial zones dedicated to low carbon, digital transformation, maritime, logistics, and artificial intelligence, showcasing the latest innovations and solutions shaping the future of energy.
