The International Conference on Humanitarian Crises, which was held at Harvard Club of Boston, has hailed the UAE’s pioneering role in humanitarian field.
The participants praised HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, for her role in supporting the maternal and child health programmes within the UAE and abroad.
The conference, which organised by BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine, was attended by leading international institutions working in the disaster and humanitarian medicine and a selection of experts from international universities around the world.
The participants praised the leading humanitarian role of Sheikha Fatima Global Humanitarian Campaign “Provide Medical Treatment,†for women and children, which presented an unprecedented and innovative model in the medical field through mobile clinics and field hospitals, the first of its kind in the world to support the health of this segment of the society.
The initiative has been able to contribute effectively in finding realistic solutions to women and children health problems.
