Dr. Hanif Al Qasim, Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, hailed the UAE’s contributions and achievements in the provision of humanitarian work in various countries and regions across the world, especially those witnessing natural catastrophes and armed conflicts.
He also stressed the confidence of the international community and its operating organisations in the role played by the UAE and its philanthropic associations to provide humanitarian, medical, food and medical care.
The remarks were made in a statement issued by the centre to condemn the crimes committed by the armed groups that left behind disasters and human suffering which the international community fails to address.
Al Qasim noted that due to the prominent and vital role played by the UAE, the country was elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council for a second time. He also added that the UAE is ranked first globally in the field of peaceful co-existence of 200 nationalities, which reflects the country’s distinguished status in this regard.
He also added that the UAE aid covers all sectors such as the health services provided to the Palestinian, Syrian and Yemeni children.
