UAE will remain pioneer in global developmental work, says Mansour

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) chaired the board of directors’ meeting.
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Deputy Chairman of ADFD, was also present.
The board reviewed a number of funding requests for developmental projects in various developing countries and took decisions in accordance with the fund’s budget and plans. The board also discussed a number of important topics on its agenda.
HH Sheikh Mansour stressed the importance of the role played by the ADFD in helping developing countries to achieve their development goals.
He highlighted the accomplishments achieved by the fund due to the support of the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh
Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
He added that the fund is working to achieve the UAE’s vision in the development space and will continue to provide development aid to strengthen the country’s pioneering position in this field.
Mohammad Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of ADFD, said as a result of these directives and the follow-up of HH Sheikh Mansour, the fund could occupy a prestigious place among the international financial and development institutions.
