UAE, US discuss bilateral ties

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held separate meetings with Paul Ryan, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs
Committee, in Washington DC.
During the two meetings, the parties discussed means of boosting joint bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields for the interest of the two peoples of the two countries as well as reviewing a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE’s interest in strengthening the strategic ties
between the UAE and the United States.
Ryan and Royce welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, commending the strategic relations between the two countries.
The US officials also commended the UAE’s leading stature at both regional and international levels.
The meetings were attended by Yousef Mana’a Saeed Al Otaiba, the UAE Ambassador to the United States of America.
