UAE spares no effort to empower women: ZGI

The UAE spared no effort in empowering women and creating a supportive environment for them to contribute towards the development of the country, the Zayed Giving Initiative (ZGI) stated.
The Emirati woman has proven her ability, especially in the field of humanitarian and volunteering work, domestically and internationally, pioneering humanitarian work, as well as innovation and adoption of initiatives to serve humanity, the ZGI said in a report on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
It stressed the accomplishments of the Emirati women, thanks to the vision President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
ZGI appreciated the course and legacy of the late the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founder of the UAE, who took a leading role in supporting women, involving them in all sectors, and making them equal partners alongside men in the process of nation building.
The report praised the role of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the “Mother of the UAE,” on continued support to Emirati woman in all fields.
