UAE, Nepal to strengthen economic ties

Bidhya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepal, received HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the President of Nepal, wishing her good health and happiness, and more progress and prosperity to the people of Nepal.
In turn, the President of Nepal asked the UAE Foreign Minister to convey her greetings to the UAE President, wishing him good health and happiness, and more progress and prosperity to the people of the UAE.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest and ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, including the need to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Hamdan al Naqbi, UAE Ambassador to Nepal.

In Kathmandu, HH Sheikh Abdullah also met Nepal’s Prime Minister, Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli.
HH Sheikh Abdullah and KP Oli discussed cooperation and friendship relations between the UAE and Nepal and ways to strengthen their efforts in developing relationships.
HH Sheikh Abdullah said that it is important to exchange such visits between officials of the two countries within the framework of boosting bilateral cooperation and access to development programmes and levels of progress and development in the two countries. He expressed the UAE’s keenness to extend bridges of cooperation and strengthen aspects of rapprochement with Nepal and support everything that would encourage investment and diversify areas of cooperation to serve the common interest of both sides.
Nepal’s Prime Minister welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his accompanying delegation, saying that H.H.’s visit comes in the framework of strengthening cooperation and friendship between the two countries and enhancing cooperation between the two sides, saying that the UAE has a good reputation and carries high prestige at a global level.
KP Oli hailed the UAE’s investment environment, which has contributed to attract global business and investment projects, made it a commercial and financial center prestigious, interface for global companies to jump-start its operations from the UAE to the states of the region and wishing the country to achieve more successes in various fields.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed the existing cooperation and friendship between the UAE and Nepal and ways to strengthen their efforts in the development of economic and trade relations and to encourage joint investments and advanced industrial projects and energy areas of interest to the two countries.

Abdullah, Nepalese FM discuss regional, int’l developments

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Kamal Thapa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Nepal, in Kathmandu.
During the meeting, HH Sheikh Abdullah and his Nepalese counterpart discussed ways of developing relations by embracing new avenues for cooperation and partnership opportunities between the two countries in various sectors.
Both sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest between the two countries, as well as current regional and international developments.
Sheikh Abdullah hailed UAE-Nepalese relations crediting the support and keenness of both countries’ leaderships for promoting and developing mutual relations in various fields.
During the meeting, the Nepalese Foreign Minister welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, wishing him a successful visit that would further promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries to serve the common interests of their people.
