The UAE National Pavilion is participating in the 18th edition of the Defense Services Asia (DSA) exhibition, which will take place from May 6 to 9 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The exhibition stands as one of the most prominent defence events in the region, bringing together 1,200 of global companies specialising in the defence and security sector from over 60 nations. These companies showcase the latest products, technologies, and solutions. The UAE National Pavilion — held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council and organised by the Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC) — will feature a number of leading UAE-based companies specialising in defence industries and technologies, including Edge Group, Calidus, Advanced Armor Engineering (AAE), Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), Avantguard Holding Limited, Darwish Bin Ahmed & Sons, and the Ministry of Defence’s “Al Jundi” magazine.
Capital Events will also be present to showcase the upcoming IDEX 2025 international defence exhibition. A wide range of advanced defence products and services, including electronic weapons systems, armoured vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), air defence systems, communications, space and satellite systems, and training & simulation, will be showcased at the pavilion.
The UAE’s participation in DSA 2024 reaffirms its commitment to supporting and strengthening international cooperation in defence and security by highlighting the defence products of UAE companies, exchanging expertise, and exploring global cooperation opportunities.
Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of the EDCC, said that the participation of the national pavilion aligns with the council’s keenness to advance international defence and security cooperation, to learn about the latest technologies in this field, and to provide opportunities for the Council’s member companies to forge new partnerships that will support the UAE defence industry’s competitive edge in the Asian and international markets.
For her part, Hanadi bin Darwish, CEO of Avantguard, said that the exhibition is an opportunity to learn about the latest global technologies, foster international cooperation in the defence and security industries, and showcase and harness Emirati technology in the global market.
DSA is one of the largest international defence exhibitions in terms of its scope and number of participants. It is an important platform for showcasing the latest technologies, innovations, and advanced solutions in defence and security sectors.
